Social Media
Usage Social Media
Social media has become a big part of our daily lives. From chatting with friends to sharing pictures, it connects people in ways that were never possible before. For students like me, social media can be both useful and distracting—depending on how we use it.
The Positive Side
- Connected: Social media helps us keep in touch with friends and family, even if they live far away.
- Learning & Inspiration: Many platforms share creative writing prompts, educational videos, and motivational content that can inspire us.
- Self-Expression: Just like blogging, social media gives people a space to share their thoughts, talents, and creativity.
The Negative Side
- Distraction: Scrolling for hours can waste valuable time we could use for studying, writing, or resting.
- Pressure: Sometimes social media creates unrealistic expectations, making people feel they are not “good enough.”
My Thoughts
-Social media itself isn’t bad—it depends on how we use it. If used wisely, it can be a great tool for learning, inspiration, and connection. But if we spend too much time on it, it can stop us from reaching our goals.
For me, I try to balance it by spending more time writing stories or reading books than scrolling through endless posts. That way, social media becomes a tool for growth, not a distraction.
What about you? Do you think social media helps or distracts students? Share your thoughts—I’d love to hear them!
